This is the former Chappell homestead inhabited by Dick, Carolyn, Linda, Tom, and Steve Chappell. According to my father we moved to Cathead in the year 1951 and Dad obtained a mortgage from Art Baumunk who owned Baumunk's store. We lived in this house until June 1969 when we moved to Troy, Pa. I remember my Dad installed an in-ground swimming pool which the whole community enjoyed immensely. Next door to the left was the Bloom farm and to the right was the home of Lester and Jane Scott.
My connection to the photograph is through Uncle Tom. It is nice to see where the nicest man in the world grew up. Thanks for posting.
The Chappell's were good people in Sabinsville. Hated to see them go.
