Berghoff's Store, Beham, Pa.

The store is now gone. It was razed sometime before 1990. In the 1950s/60s it was an everyday store. Most products were on shelves behind a counter and one of the Berghoffs would pull the item you wanted. One of the notable exceptions was the pop cooler. It was a water tank style unit. You served yourself. The pop was so cold! I remember getting an RC Coke with a camel logo on the bottle. It probably cost no more than ten cents!
