4075 William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA 15668. The house in the foreground still stands, but has been renovated into office/commercial space. The small strip mall to the right also still stands.

This was Doc Townsend's home and office. Office was on the far right of building and had beautiful knotty pine paneling. Doctor Townsend was the driving force to save Duff Park from becoming Rt.22 bypass due to the huge old trees that can now be seen on the walking trails of Duff Park. By pass would have gone across the top of the ridge behind this house and reconnected near Rt. 66 in Delmont.

I remember seeing Dr. Townsend as a child in the late 60's early 70's, a very kind man. He saw childdren as well as adults. Outside the house was painted white with green trim. The waiting room had fishing magazines. My mom saw the OB/GYN doctor who had an office on the first floor on the far left of the first floor. I believe Dr. Townsend died around 1978.
