This is “Kits” also known as the Coward Stop and Shop. The drink machines aren’t there anymore, but there is a air compressor machine for putting air in tires that is only .25. To pay that price for air is nearly unheard of now in 2019. Times where so different back in the late 80s to early 90s that my grandmother who I lived with in Coward would write a letter and send me at that time a maybe 5/6 (I was born the year this photo was taken) year old little girl walking to Mr. Kits store. On this list was my grandmothers snuff (dip) that at that time laws were more lax on, and I would pick up and pay for whatever her letter asked for to include a Tabacco product which was Usely Peach Tops snuff because my grandmother was a respected resident by whom they knew would be the only recipient of it. I still remember the day that Mrs. Linda had to write a letter back to my grandmother telling her even though she knew who the product was for the new laws for tabacco would no longer allow her to sell it to me. It’s crazy how different our world is today, and how life just seemed simplistic back then.
