The property is one of four in the Shelburne Bay Association development. This shows the house essentially "as built" in the mid-to-late 60's ('65 Chevy in photo). Changes made prior to 1984:
- Adjacent vacant lot split 50/50 with neighbors to north adding 75 ft. to the width of the property.
- Lakefront-facing enclosed porch and flanking N & S wood decks were added, as well as a 15'x20' master bedroom to the north and kitchen relocation that moved the front door to the adjacent wall.
- The white playhouse was moved to the east property line at some point to make room for the bedroom addition.
We have owned it since 1984. In 2005-06, we had to make extensive exterior repairs and renovations, resulting in extensive energy conservation measures, new bathrooms, lowered garage floor with relocated garage door on its south wall and a tree-shaded entry courtyard. In 2017, energy conservation & air-sealing measures were completed and a super-insulated 400 sf addition to the north for the master bedroom suite allowed conversion of the old bedroom to a new artist's studio.
