This farm once belonged to Earl Hackett, one of Vermont's largest dairy farmers , he sold it to my grand father , Charles Carpenter Sr., and then it was sold to my father Charles Carpenter Jr. The farm was later sold to Authur Nichols, at some point the land was then sold to Doug Nelson, now one of Vermont's largest farmers , who still farms it today.

The farm is located on Bates Hill ,in Derby Vt.
