My Grandparents home place. Douglas and Ethel Burks. On Coolwell Road, road and community were named for the well in the front yard. Was originally a stagecoach stop, where travelers stopped and drank cool water from the well. My mother Vivian Burks Kidd was one of 10 children who grew up there. We scattered my mom’s ashes there a little over 2 years ago (with the owners permission). It was looking pretty bad than and not safe to enter. I live in Georgia now so don’t get back very often. Have talked to owner about buying property if he ever wants to sell, just to have in family. Would love to have link to photo to share with my kids and grandkids if that is a possibility, I see you do prints but don’t necessarily need just one big print. Thank you for the memories seeing this brought back. We lived very close to my Grandparents so I practically grew up there.
