Main intersection in Verona. Upper left was the old Bakery. Post office just under it. Grocery store before it was a strip mall in the center. To the upper right is the auto parts store that is now Federated. Moore's building supply is to the right of that. The burger joint is straight under that. Sorry, I don't remember the name, I didn't grow up in Verona.

In the foreground on the right is Verona United Methodist Church, the Texaco station front center is now a Burger King. Tastee Freeze is to the right of the Shell Station

The grocery store was Gray's IGA. The burger joint was a local McDonald's clone called Burger House. In the 80s it became the first Ciro's in the region. At the bottom left was the car wash. In a few years from this photo, across from the car wash (just a big yard in this photo), they built a High's.
