This is the home of Henry & Hannah Swink, they deeded the land to their son Adam Swink before their deaths, Adam Swink left it to his heirs and his daughter who married Alexander Gardner owned the land which was then left to their son J. Gardner and then to his two daughters Reba & Margaret.

Hi Glenda, thank you for sharing the fascinating history of the Swink family and their land in Augusta County! It's always amazing to hear about the rich stories behind our aerial photos. Just curious, since the photo was taken in 1982, could you remember any specific changes or developments that might have taken place on the property since then? Also, did the Swink family engage in any particular type of farming on the land?
