This is my grandparents farm.
Hi Randy,
Did your grandparents keep animals on the farm? What was your favorite thing to do whenever you visited their house?
In the early to mid fifties they kept a working plow horse for the garden. A pony was kept for us to ride and pull a pony cart. They had one milk cow from which they sold milk and butter. There was also a herd of beef cows, hogs for self use and chickens. The eggs were distributed every Saturday morning in Lynchburg. It was fun just living on the farm. Sunday afternoons were fun when the cousins came to visit.
