This is another shot of "New Upton Farm"... Also known as "Harcum plantation house". Most of the original early 19th century outbuildings are still there..the kitchen, smokehouse, and carriage House are still intact. Very good complete example of a "Southern Federal" designed House. The surrounding district of Harcum was named after the family who owned this house since before the civil war. I may or may not be correct but I believe the Harcum family bought it from a family by the name of Duval before the beginning of the civil war. The front field of the property was also an airplane landing and take-off strip from the 1930s through the 1950s. It was known as "Harcum Airport".
