This was my grandparent's farm. The home is the main home on the farm. There are several others including a log cabin. I believe this home was built in the early 1900s. My grandfather, my grandfather's brother and a neighbor built the "home place" after my great-grandfather died. The house was built as a boarding house originally as my great-grandmother thought she would need the extra money. What wonderful memories this home brings!! My grandparents were Lorenzo Emmett Ragland and Bertha Mae Moore Ragland. My father was Lorenzo Dow Ragland. The entire farm was a part of the family dating back to the early to mid 1800s. My grandfather's brother was Comer Dow Ragland. Their father was Emmett O'Connell Ragland. Emmett O'Connell had one sister who never married and lived on the farm. Her name was Ellen Ragland.
