House built by Lightffoot Richardson in 1911. Became Toano Motor Lodge in 1940s-50s run by his daughter and her husband. Bought by Carol and Tom Chestnutt in 1979 and became known The Farmhouse, where chairs and antiques were sold. Purchased by Jack and Jeff Wray in 2017 who grew up in Toano and are involved in a revitialization project to restore the Village of Toano .
