Hazelwild Farm. The indoor ring, "Cowpalace", and barn

I grew up on Harrison Rd. at Beauclaire Plantation, and Hazelwild played just as an important part of my life! I started riding lessons in 1957. I took riding lessons, and later taught riding and showed horses , I went to summer camp, became a Jr. Counselor then taught Pre-School in the Cow Palace. My father built the barn in the field behind the Boys Cottage and my mother taught Kindergarten there. Later years I became a nurse and was privileged to care for Aunt Sissy for a short while before she passed. I loved my time at Hazelwild and cherish my memories of that beautiful farm and the lady who shared it with so many!!

Hi Cindy,
Thank you for telling us some history of the property! Does the property still look the same today or has it changed?
