This is Midway Farm, established in 1845 by Jephthah Fitz Randolph and named by Joseph H Dis Debar designer of the West Virginia State Seal. The farm is "midway" between Lewisport (now part of West Union) and DeBar's St. Clara settlement. It stayed in the Randolph family until 1969 when it was purchased by the Bowyers.
