Except for the small barn in the upper left (belonging to Browning Boggs) & buildings below the house (belonging to Dr. Taylor), this was part of Fred & Ella Mullenax's farm. Now, all the barns & outbuildings are gone except the two white buildings closest to the house. Browning's barn is gone & there is new building at the bottom of the pic belonging to the Taylors.
Walter Hojka owns the large house. The rest of the farm belongs to the Mullenax decedents.

I grew up here. The house & barn are in the town limits of Franklin. My parents bought the farm in 1948 & lived there until their deaths, Fred's in 2000 & Ella's in 2007. The house was built by Zebulon Dyer around the early 1820s by slave labor.

This stone, plaster covered house was finished around 1824. It was built by slave labor for Zebulon Dyer, clerk of Pendleton County at the time. His daughter, Mary & her husband, James Boggs owned this house next, & they had 17 slaves in 1860.
There was a slave house there until it was taken down in the late 1950s. The foundation is still visible, & has an animal loading shut built on it. In this pic, it is located at the opposite end of the plowed garden from the largest barn.
The smaller barn still belongs to a Boggs family member. The large house & farm belonged to the Fred & Ella Mullenax & family from 1948 to around 2015.
The two barns & all outside buildings are gone except for 2 (the garage at the left end of the house & the littlest building above the house.
The buildings below the house's yard belong to the neighbor.
The house is located on Boggs Dr. in Franklin, WV.
