I grew up in this home. My (foster) mother was the home owner until her passing four years ago. Her name was Frances Joan Davis. Most notable changes was the addition of an above ground pool, and the one large garage that stood closest to the road has since been torn down. Also, the beautiful large oak tree in the front yard is no longer there.
I also grew up there and my sister is correct with all the changes there are since her passing, but I also believe the outhouse that was in the back has since collapsed.
This was my aunts house that became her daughters upon her passing. My brothers and I spent many happy summers there. Even after I was grown and married I continued to spend a week every summer. I then took my grandchildren every summer. I have many happy memories, and my cousin Joan was an amazing person. She is greatly missed. Oh those West Virginia hills how majestic and how grand!!!
This was my paternal grandparents Byron & Charlotte Davis and my aunt Joan Davis' home. We spent several summers vacation's visiting here. My dad grew up here along with his brother Jim until they graduated high school and joined the Air Force. We had many happy memories of visits to my grandparents home.
