This farm was located at W9892 Ziehmke Road, south of Portage, WI. While it looked somewhat like this as of 1995, the next 20 years saw the slow disappearance of many of the buildings. All that is left today (November 2016), is the house and a newly built garage. The square barn (or perhaps granary), with multiple peaks, in between the first building on left and the silo, is the famous (amongst old barn fans), and often photographed, "leaning barn" along the east side of Interstate 39/51 a mile or so south of Portage. It and the wonderful tile silo is pictured on the cover and page 76 of "Wisconsin Barns" by Schumm-Burgess/Schweit, and page 167 of "Barns of Wisconsin" by J.Apps. It was quite a landmark for my family and I traveling to and from central Wisconsin. Don't know if it finally fell down or was taken down, but the fact it stood for so long, looking like the barn version of the "Leaning Tower of Pisa" was remarkable.
