The home in the middle of the picture served as a boarding house, a restaurant and a tavern when "Quarry" was a bustling little place. It is located on the west side of Quarry Road immediately south of the railroad tracks. At the time of the photographs, Ted and Lorraine Damm lived in it with their daughters. The house was purchased by the Paul Anderson family in the mid-1990s. The house in the lower right corner of the picture had been recently built by Russell Reinertson when this picture was taken. The house on the left side of the photo was owned by Ed (Carrots) and Evelyn Vetter. Dan and Jackie Downey purchased the home from Mrs. Vetter in 1993. A new shed has been added west of the barn. A couple large trees were taken down or were knocked down in storms over the years. A room was built above the garage and the house was resided in red.
