That’s the farm I grew up on. My Dad bought it in 1957, it was much smaller then. Another Harvestor silo (big blue) was put up a couple years later.
If you stand on top of the house, you’re even height with the small silo, which was 40 feet tall.
The tractor hooked up to the manure spreader is a Massey-Harris 333. Dad loved that tractor. I preferred the Farmall’s, they were bigger, more powerful.
The farm was photographed many times in the ‘70s. I’d be out in a field cutting hay. And I’d see a plane buzzing around. It was featured on many farm magazines at the time. My parents won awards.
Due to health issues, Dad sold the farm in 1979. I was only 16. But, that’s where I grew up.
