This was my Grandparents farm. Alvin and Dorothy Schroeder. Their two daughters, JoAnne Steenberg and Judy Helmer were born and raised here. The farm was lost to a tornado in the 50's and rebuilt by my Grandpa Alvy with blood, sweat and tears. In this picture, you can see their many acres of gardens. They produced fruits and vegetables sold in Fond du Lac and the Plymouth Sentry store. After getting out of dairy farming, Alvin switched over to pig sales and sire services. I spent much time time here with my grandparents as a child.
