Once called Vass's corners. This is Hwy 20 and ES (Main Street, former Hwy 15) on the East edge of East Troy. The garage, on the right of the house, is still there in it's original location. The house was moved by the WI DOT and is now located behind the garage, off ES. Budd and Marion Vass owned the farm.

Location can also be seen in photos 9 & 10 of roll 64 from this year.

we were migrant workers and worked on the farm for many years till the freeway came by and removed the farm. The home trailer under the large tree is where the family stayed during the summer months

I remember that. When ever I worked there, helping uncle Ben, your dad would not let me help pick up stones. He insisted I drive the tractor. LOL.
Bud and Marion really liked your family.

the photo was taken in the fall because the roadside stand between the two roads is visible and in operation. I was 11 years old

I planted melons there in the early 50's. I think we got .35 per hour. I was 12yrs old. I worked there 2 summers, until I was 14 and could get a work permit. Then I got a job at the IGA store. On the farm no permit was required.
