I grew up here. My dad bought this tavern in 1971. The Buick car in the picture is my 1st car, 1968 Buick LeSabre. The name of the tavern at that time was Dick's Lakeview Inn. It was a polka bar with a dance hall. The lake in the forefront is Keller's Lake. The river that enters into the lake is the Pigeon a River.
Was owned for a time by David, Charlie and Helen Oehlenschlager who came from Fort Atkinson area. they would host wild game feeds, with the specialty of snapping turtle. charlie and Helen are both deceased, Dave sold the bar to a fellow who named it the Pigeon Coop. It has since sold to Travis and Cassie Beyersdorf who are making improvements continually. The bar itself has been added to,double the size and the entrqnces have been changed. It is back to being called Lakeview.
