This was my grandparents farm! I'd love to walk through it today!!
My folks were a very big part of the hill climbs there. The Chain O'Lakes Harleysville Riders put them on. Great times at them.
man how i miss that place and my aunt and uncle and cousins....what i would give to go visit that place again!!
Grew up just down the road from this farm and spent much time here growing up and driving tractors and just helping out. Grea t memories.
Look at how nice this place looked'...great memories
What a marvelous look back at single-family farming! This represents a time when people could (and did) know and fully trust their neighbors, and willingly help when there was a need. It sometimes breaks my heart today, with the loss of the single-family farm, and more importantly the loss of community where people truly cared for each other. Of course, there were also tough times, but the knitting together of people back then is something we don't necessarily see or feel today.
