3 Generation Bartel Farm
July 16th 1866 Robert Howell sold property to Frederich W. Bartel
Fredrich W. Bartel farmed the property from 1866-1907 (41 years)
In June of 1878, the entire house burned down. In July of 1885, a tornado came through and picked up Wm. and carried him quite far. He landed in a tree and thankfully not seriously injured.
His son, Otto Bartel farmed from 1907-1948 (41 years. Otto had a general store in the north part of the house. Otto's son, Willard L Bartel farmed from 1948-1980 (32 years)
