The Elton and Mabel Hoff farm, also home to Mabel's Maple. The Hoff's dairy farmed here from 1960-1999, and continue to make maple syrup. The syrup building is back in the trees behind the house. They built a new house about where the trailer house sits in 2010.

This is the Dick & Sena Geiken farm. My mom drove past here every Saturday morning on the way to piano lessons from 1966-74. Mom knew the Geikens from the Baptist church in Buffalo Center. Dick passed away first, and Sena entered the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center. My grandparents, Harris & Aldora Lee, lived here for about a year (1980-81). The barn, silo and outbuildings have been torn down and several grain bins have been put up. Before that, Ronald Dearing rented the buildings for livestock.

This is the Anton & Amelia Wendtland farm; my great-great grandparents. They raised 11 children in that big house. After they died in 1949 and 1950, their children Paul and Margaret lived here and ran the farm. They farmed here until Paul's death around 1970. Margaret continued to live here until ?? Anton and Amelia's daughter Freida married Paul Lentz (my great grandpa) around 1915. The house and outbuildings are gone now, but the barn and silo are still standing.

Dennis & Jane Winders farm, River Rd., Spencer. My wife and I bought the little white house at the top of the picture in 2020. Everything is much more grown over now. We are working little by little to clear some of the property once again!

The David Litscher farm on Sauk Prairie Rd. All the buildings were demolished in 2019 to prepare for the construction of Culver Community Park. An interesting note; some of the large timbers from the dairy barn are being incorporated into the park construction.

Everett Niles home, Rahl Rd, Prairie du Sac. A pole shed has since been built to the left of the driveway. My wife and I are friends of the Niles', and have had a sizeable garden in back of the house a few times. Got some great produce!

Crystal Ball Farms, Osceola, WI. The long white building straight out from the silos burned several years ago, and a larger freestall barn was built.
