In the 1960s, this was the Fosterdale post office. The postmaster, Mr. Morgan, had one arm. He was a very nice man and ran his post office efficiently.

In 1843, my great-great-grandparents David and Nancy (Townsend) McNeely built the house that you can just see to the left of the big tree. They had a huge barn, but only one section is still standing and can be seen under the "G" in "Vintage. There are two apples trees still standing in what was their orchard. They are to the right of the "E" in "Vintage". The farm was passed down to my cousin Pam Hamilton Humphreys. She sold it to Harry and Yvonne Kickuth who built all of the other buildings in the photo, including the large extension at the back of the house. The huge tree in the middle of the photo is a maple that turns a gorgeous gold in the Autumn.

The Bakers farm that they named "Friendly Acres", then put a big black bull in the field next to the sign. :-)

Mary Bertsch lived in this house in the 1960s. County Road 114 is the road that can barely be seen in the lower left of the photo.

This house was once owned by the Bertsch's. I don't remember which ones - there were Frank and Harry and I believe another brother or so. Beyond the house is East Cochecton Cemetery. My great-grandparents, grandparents, uncle, and parents are buried there. I plan to land there too. The family plot is located in and around the lilac bush that is just to the left of the "A" in the "Vintage" watermark. To the right of the "T" in "Vintage" is the obelisk that I mentioned in a previous comment. County Road 114 is the road passing the front of the house. Cross Road is the road going up the side of the cemetery.
