This house now belongs to Steve & Agnes Koehn. Allen & Jennifer Unruh bought it from Jess Bryant. Floyd & Mandina Becker built it. Floyd Becker was a brother to Darlene Peaster from Winton and Mandina was thought to be a sister to Minister Ed & Susie Schmidt

My cousin Jennifer grew up next door (Uncle Jim's daughter) and she says the family name was spelled "Spowhen" RK

My Uncle Ed and Aunt Mary Decker lived here when I (Ron Koehn) was growing up in the 1960's & 70's. He was a blacksmith and welder and could build anything with iron and steel! Behind that shop was an enormous "junk scrap" pile that Uncle Ed called "my merchandise"! If you broke it he could fix it. Then he would only charge you "oh, a dollar" or maybe "five dollars" when you knew it was at least a $40 fix!

My uncle, James & Alma Koehn lived here. Approx 1965. I played with my cousin Doyle many happy hours here and in that barn! We have wonderful memories of this home!

The hedge is gone from the front of the house. Now there is a 40 ft tall palm tree in front of the southeast front of the house. The shed north of the house is still there. The barn is still there. The pump house and the little shed north of the barn are gone. The bank dropping off to the east of the barn is carved away until about straight east of the driveway going around the barn. The trees behind the barn are gone. The yard in front of the barn is paved.
