I believe a family named Spohn lived here in the 1960's and 70's. My Uncle James "Jim" Koehn lived just east of this homestead when I was a child. I recall they had several big mean dogs and I was terrified to ride my bike past this place! The dogs never did hurt me but boy oh boy I would pedal for all I was worth to get past! The reason I had to go past was I lived a mile to the west and my cousin Doyle Koehn lived just east of this place. (Ron Koehn)
This homestead is gone and there is an almond orchard here now.
My cousin Jennifer grew up next door (Uncle Jim's daughter) and she says the family name was spelled "Spowhen" RK
