I believe this is one of the Pohlman family farms. Located on Jefferson Road, along the Jefferson Ridge. My maternal great-aunt & great-uncle have lived there as long as I know.

This home has belonged to the Mathison family for some time (this could be the family's original homestead, I'm not certain). My husband's grandparents reside there now. The home with the bright roof is a beautiful, expansive, log-cabin style home with a wrap-around deck. The other, smaller home above the large barn no longer stands, though the foundation still exists. A lot of work has been done to preserve the structures, and it is still very reminiscent of this photo despite nearly 50 years!

Yes, this is the House on the Rock in Spring Green. You can see the original house to the left of the exhibit buildings, and even spy the Infinity Room stretching out over the valley in the forefront of the home!

The drive on the right side of this home would eventually become Sunrise Ct. My grandparents built the first house on the far back of that new community in the early 80's. My grandma would tell me about how she remembered being in the home pictured here, with the older woman who lived there, and they would sew together on an old Singer machine, careful not to get their fingers stuck in the needle.
