YES! I was hoping to see this caught on film! This was the Motel For Pets - a boarding kennel set up to resemble a roadside motel in miniature. Opened in the '50s. The sign out front also reads "NO PEOPLE ALLOWED" (early on, some travelers stopped here expecting this to be a real motel!).

This 1983 shot was just before it was sold amidst the expanding suburbia. A vet practice sits on part of this site today, with one of the original motel "wings" still visible. But you have to look for it; like anything else on this part of 280, it's surrounded by big boxes and office buildings.
