This home was built my Howard and Myrtle Veil. The farm was purchased by James Still and later purchased by Carl and Marcia Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have two sons Jon (JB)Taylor and Derrick Taylor. They have completely renovated the farm house and tripled the size of the home with additions of a four season's room, additional bedroom (3 bedrooms) Den, Family room, Swimming pool and added a morton building where the orchard was ( top right) Theold barn was added on to after this photo was taken and was taken down in 2010 the area where the barn is shown will be dammed up in spring of 2016 to make a small lake. The building opposite of the barn was the original Marden Church that was moved from the cemetery in the 40's when the new church was built. The building shown was used as a general store for some time and was torn down in 2014 and replaced with a modern storage shed. Mr and Mrs. Taylor received awards in 1993 for farm beautification in the Democrat Message.
