This is the thoroughbred race horse farm I grew on, Scottdale Farm. My grandparents Grant and Julia Scott owned it. This view is looking to the southeast. My grandparents house is in the trees on the left and is still standing today. The trees in the middle right of the picture was the apple orchard. The barn is the training barn where we broke the yearlings to prepare to send them to the race track. The farm was 188 acres and the southern border of the farm was the northern border of the Morton Arboretum. the farm was purchased in 1950 and sold in 1977 to Hoffman Homes. The farm address was 23W518 Butterfield road, Wheaton, Illinois.
Matt, 23w518 Butterfield is a Glen Ellyn address - if this is Butterfield road pictured I believe we are looking south over it and the current address is 1600 IL-56 (Southeast corner of Butterfield and Scottdale circle)?
