Looking east along the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway. The road that crosses the tracks is the original alignment of Illinois State Route 17. The current alignment is just to the west, and out of view in the picture. The large aluminum building still stands, otherwise the scene has changed. The railroad crossing has been cut with the building of the new road. We’re just north of Reddick, Illinois.
