This is a picture of the National Store, on Rt. 134, next to Hart's Hill in Round Lake. My family shopped there as we didn't have a large grocery store in Long Lake. I used to sled down Hart's Hill in the winter, the swamp at the bottom is now gone and when it was there and frozen, you would have enough momentum to go up the hill opposite to the parking area.

The National supermarket is now Parkway Banquets. Ace Hardware is still on the property, in a newer building to the right of National. Left, out of frame, is now Lakes Bowl/Sharky's.

Back in the 70’s wasn’t there a disco or some sort of night club in there? I seem to remember being there once…
