Roy Behm Homestead. Old Peterson Rd is in the foreground; it's been renamed Behm Ln. Most of the structures still stand, but are slowly eroding away. Photo is looking to the north.
According to the 1907 plat map for Fremont Township, this property was owned by Adam Behm, Jr. (1851-1929). He was born in New York and with his parents moved to Fremont township in 1860. He married Mary (Hertel) Behm (1856-1945). The homestead farm was then run be his son, Albert John Behm (1880-1970) who married Anna Regin (Wegener) Behm (1879-1939). The above farm adjoining west of the Albert Behm farm was the Roy B. Behm (1914-1972) farm. Roy was married to Dorothy (Morrison) Behm.
Peterson Rd. was relocated about 400 feet to the southeast. The original portion of the road has been renamed to Behm Lane ending in a cul-de-sac and no longer connecting to Rte. 60.
