This our home at 1302 Countryside Lane, Pontiac,IL 61764. A great deal has changed. Most of the mature trees were destroyed by a recent tornado (2016). The east half of the main roof of the house was lifted many years ago to provide additional living space on the 2nd floor. There are now houses directly north of the house along Countryside Lane, which lead all the way back north to Rt.116. The portion of the property across Turtle Creek (east) is now grown in with small trees etc. There is no longer a walking bridge accesing it. Tha "pasture" leading back to the creek is no longer fenced in and is now open lawn area.

Hi John,
Did there use to be animals that used the pasture, I see a small barn towards the middle of the property. Did you grow up or knew who lived on this property?

I did not grow up on the property, but was told they had ponies out there. That small β€œbarn” still stands and is in use by us today. It did appear that there were a couple of stalls in there at one time, plus the ceiling /joists is fairly low.
