Old Flanagan Elementary

I went to school here from 1954 until 1961 when we moved to the new Junior High across town. I spent two weeks in kindergarten in the Spring of 1954 and then started first grade in August of 1954. Many good teachers and formative experiences. Many ball games on the large areas west of the school.

This school was vacated in 1970 when I went from 3rd to 4th grade as the new elementary (oval shaped) adjacent to the high school on route 116 at the south end of town. I believe you can see the trailer classrooms on each side of the gym that is the rear portion of the school. School was eventually torn down though I'm unsure what year that was.
