Eastwood Manor. Is that the beginning of the A & W in the background?

The East Wood subdivision is located north of Rte. 120 (upper left corner) and west of Chapel Hill Rd. in McHenry. Home sales began in 1955 by Country Lane Home Building, Inc. 3-bedroom ranch homes were selling between $11,500 to $18,500 with monthly payments as low as $72.43. The barn right of the water tower still stands today. The one on the left, only the foundation remains.
