Kountry Kitchen and Delicatessen (small dark building) at 1709 W Rte. 120 occupied the southwest corner of Rte 120 and Kent Road. In 1957, this restaurant was known as Trading Post and purchased by Edward and Jean Czajkowki renaming it the Kountry Kitchen and Delicatessen. On December 4, 1958, the building was gutted by fire. In November 1974 the restaurant was under new management by Ross M. LaMotta and he died in 1977. The Henny Penny Restaurant occupied this location until 2019 when the building finally closed its doors as a restaurant. Today, it is now the new home of McHenry Pet Hospital that began operation in this location in 2021.

The buildings to the left are located at 1701 W. Route 120 was Freund's Campers from about 1964 until 1978 when it eventually was the home of Bob's Auto Body. Over the years the building was expended and part of it was occupied recently by McHenry Pet Hospital until it moved to the former Henny Penny Restaurant building. Currently, the building is occupied by Frontline Automotive.

The farm across Rte. 120 is the Weingart farm.
