David Davis property west on 136 past the Kickapoo creek. My grandparents Orval and Ethel Seitz farmed it till the early 70s. They lived in the 2 story white house and had a few different hired hands live in the smaller. My grandpa sold Harvestor bins also.
Several buildings including the houses are no longer there. Their neighbors across the street were the Huffmans.
Melody how long was this farm in your family? What type of farm was it?
They farmed it for over 20 yrs. They raised beans, corn, cows, hogs and chickens.
You must be Melody Blankenship
I lived on 136 just past your grandparents. Went to Heyworth Baptist Church. In fact, Dennis Blankenship married us. Is that your Dad?
Yes he's my dad..he still loves to preach..just doesn't very often. What is your name?? I'll mention you to them and see if they can remember you. (He's 87)
