Do you have a connection to the Grain Elevators?

I currently manage this elevator for consolidated grain and Barge. Old elevator is still standing and was just recently repainted. Many large diameter steel bins have been added since this picture

Hi Alex, no connections, just like them alot. I'm a railroad nut, go out looking for what was, as well as what is still here. So many elevators are getting torn down, so I like to see the old ones before they are gone.

It's great to hear that the old elevator is still standing and has been repainted. A lot can change in 50+ years, so we're curious to know more about what else has changed since this photo was taken. Do you happen to remember what the area was like during that time period or any other notable landmarks nearby? We love hearing stories and memories from people who have a connection to our Vintage Aerial photos.

My wife’s grandfather, Larry Tastad. owned this elevator and lived on site.
