Colonial Inn

I think I stayed here when I was about 8 or 9 years old. We traveled out west one summer for vacation. Memories are vague. I remember it being family owned and run. I think we ate dinner there and it was like the people were cooking dinner in their home and we were just guests eating there.

Pin location adjusted. Nothing remains of the motel today as the area was extensively reworked in the mid-90s for the I-72 alignment coupled with the new bridge project. US 36 is seen in front of the complex and State Highway 79 is in the background. View looks NNW.
