Blackhawk Standard gas station, and Uncle Dicks restaurant. I pumped gas there when I was 16 (1972 ). Located at what is now the intersection of Interstate 80 and a small remnant of the old IL Rt 2 and Rt 92. Sometime in the 70s or 80s the old Highway was moved for the construction of IL Rt 5 / Interstate 88 and nothing remains of it now. There was also a Shell gas station and a large DX station in that area. Only parts of the Shell station remains, and it hasn’t been a gas station for decades ( it is only accessible from a small, tar service road now).

The Large Gas Station Was Actually A Skelly. It Was One Of Their Several Truck Stops.

There Also Was A Texaco Gas Station In The Area As Well.
