Mather's Gun Club
Mathers gun club, Springfield, IL.
Opened sometime in the 1940s, and sat along what was then route 4, But in 1970, When Interstate 72 (I-72) was under construction in the area, they had to relocate to a new spot just down the road.
The new gun club would operate until 1999. All buildings on the property were subsequently demolished after closure. Today, the site still sits abandoned and heavily overgrown.
