This is the old Heritage House Smorgasbord restaurant located at the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 72. I have eaten here! The restaurant closed in the summer of 2004 and was demolished in 2008 to make way for commercial development. As of 2017, the lot still sits empty.

The former owner, Don Taft, is a friend and his son lives across the street from us.
