A Howard Johnson's Operated, Shell Service Station Located On Jefferson Street (U.S. Route 52) In Shorewood, Illinois (Some People Would Say This Is A Part Of Joliet). This Station Is Still A Shell To This Day! The Ranch Roofing Of This Station Is Also Still There To This Day! The Service Bays And The Shell Sign, On The Top Of The Roof, Of The Station Are Gone Now, Though. The, Neighboring Howard Johnson's Is Long Gone Now, But That Building Is Also Still There! The Tall Sign For The Howard Johnson's Unfortunately Can't Be Seen In Any Vintage Aerial Photo And It Is Also Gone Now As Well. The Tall Sign For The Shell Is Also Gone Now As Well.
