A Holiday Inn Operated, Gulf Service Station Located On Jefferson Street (U.S. Route 52) And Northeast Frontage Rd In Shorewood, Illinois (Some People Would Say This Is A Part Of Joliet). You Can Also See A Sign For Holiday Inn, On The Bottom Of The Road Sign For The Gulf Station. The Station Is Now A Billboard And Parking Lot For Ron Tirapelli Ford. The Station Stopped Selling Gulf Gasoline In 1974, When The Company Pulled Out Of Illinois. I Am Not Sure What Brand Was Here After Gulf. The Station Was Torn Down Between 1988 And 1993. Ron Tirapelli Ford Opened Between 1993 And 1998. The Tall Sign Is Also Gone Now As Well.
