The old Holiday Inn. Northeast corner of I-55 and Rt 52.

A Holiday Inn Located On Northeast Frontage Road Near Jefferson Street (U.S. Route 52) In Shorewood, Illinois (Some People Would Say This Is A Part Of Joliet). The Side Closer To Jefferson Street Is The Only Part Of The Building That Survives Today, And The Hotel Is Now An Econo Lodge. The Restaurant Building Was Torn Down Between 1998 And 2002. The Other Parts Of The Hotel Were Torn Down Between 2012 And 2014. 3/4 Of The Hotel Is Now In The Process Of Being Built For A La Quinta Inn. By 1980, This Was No Longer A Holiday Inn. This Was Once Home To A Days Inn. In Later Years, This Was Known As The Joliet Inn. In 2012 Or 2013, This Place Became An Econo Lodge. You Can Also See The Tall Sign For The Gulf Station, That The Holiday Inn Owned And Operated.
