At one time this was the farm of Mike and Dede Hamilton, located on the south side of E Co Rd 500 S. They lived here during the 1950's (perhaps a bit earlier) and until the time of what I am fairly certain has been, their passing. The farm abuts the farm on So Co Rd 8oo E where my parents John M and Janet Johnson now live, a farm they inherited from my grandparents S. Glen and Sylvia Johnson. One of the places grandma lived while growing up was here at the "Hamilton" farm. Her dad George (and Minnie) Conwell had his blacksmith shop located in front of the house, right next to the road. The object in the lawn to the left of the driveway entrance is the stump of a large tree which likely shaded my great grandfather as he shod horses and repaired buggy wheels.
